Managing broker accounts & updating the EA

How to add and remove broker accounts, the difference between EA and cloud accounts when you delete one, your plan's account limits, and when (and when not) the EA needs re-installing.

› Deleting an account

Open the account in the Signal Copier and use the remove option.

EA account → "Delete account". Removes it from your dashboard. The EA on your terminal simply stops receiving that account's config — you can also just remove the EA from the chart.
Cloud account → "Disconnect". Removes it and removes its cloud connection at the provider, so it stops running — nothing is left orphaned.

Deleting an account frees a slot toward your plan's limit immediately, so you can connect a different broker. It does not close any open trades on the broker — close those in your terminal/broker first if you want them flat.

› When does the EA need re-installing or recompiling?

The EA talks to us over a secure API, so most updates happen server-side and need nothing from you.

You only re-install the EA when we publish a new EA build (announced on the changelog). When your EA is older than the current build, its account in Signal Copier shows an "Update to EA" link next to the version, which downloads the right file for that account (.ex4 for MT4, .ex5 for MT5).

Remove the old EA from the chart.
In MetaTrader, open File → Open Data Folder → MQL5/Experts (MQL4/Experts on MT4) and replace the old file with the new one.
Right-click Expert Advisors in the Navigator and choose Refresh.
Attach the EA to one chart again, with Algo Trading on. Your token and settings stay the same.
Check the account shows the new version and is online in Signal Copier.

Some features need the newer build. For example, an EA must be 8.11 or newer to follow the lot size you set on the website — see where the lot is decided. Every input is explained in the EA inputs reference.

› When the EA is offline

The EA collects signals by checking in every few seconds. If MetaTrader is closed, Algo Trading is off, or the EA was removed from its chart, signals for that account wait. A signal that is not collected within 10 minutes is cancelled, so it can never open late at a very different price, and you are told about it on Telegram (if you linked the bot) and by push notification. Restart the terminal, turn Algo Trading on, and make sure the EA's icon in the chart's top-right corner shows it is active.

The same alert tells you when the EA reports that the broker rejected a trade — for example a closed market or an invalid volume — with the broker's reason and what to change.
