Is TradeJournal Pro Legit? An Honest Answer, Including the Downsides

A straight answer about who runs TradeJournal Pro, what your money buys, how refunds work, what we can access in your accounts — and the four reasons you might want to wait.

If you found us through a Telegram channel, a Reddit thread, or a comparison article, the first thing you should do is exactly what you're doing now: check whether we're real before you connect anything to your broker account.

This is that page. It's written by the person who built the product, and it includes the parts that don't flatter us — because a page that only lists strengths tells you nothing you couldn't guess.

Who actually runs this

TradeJournal Pro is built and run by me, Islam Ahmed, a solo founder based in Egypt. There is no venture fund behind it, no offshore holding company, and no team of twenty. When you email support, I answer.

That is a genuine trade-off, and I'd rather you weigh it now than discover it later. A one-person company means fast fixes and direct access to the person who wrote the code. It also means no 24/7 support desk and no guarantee I'll still be here in ten years. If that risk is unacceptable for how you trade, that's a completely reasonable conclusion.

What you can verify without trusting me

Claims are cheap. These are checkable:

ClaimHow to verify it yourself
The copier actually executesStart the 5-day trial, no card. Post a test signal in your own channel.
Channel win rates are realOpen /verify — every outcome is hash-chained and publicly recomputable
The service is up/status shows live health checks of every dependency
Pricing is what we say/pricing lists every tier publicly, no "contact us for a quote"
Refunds are realThe refund policy states the terms in writing

That third-party verifiability is the whole point of the product. We built a public, append-only ledger for signal outcomes precisely because this industry runs on screenshots that anyone can fake. Edit one past result and the hash chain breaks. You can recompute any channel's real win rate yourself — including the ones that make us look bad.

What it costs, plainly

  • EA line — $15/month billed annually ($19 monthly). You run MT4/MT5 on your own PC or VPS.
  • Cloud line — $19/month annually ($25 monthly). We execute 24/7; you need no device running.
  • Desktop line — $25/month annually ($29 monthly). A local app on your PC, fastest fills.
  • Lifetime — $499 one-time for EA, $509 for Desktop. No recurring fee.
  • The trading journal is free forever. Unlimited trades, analytics, CSV/PDF export, no card.

There's a 5-day Starter trial with no credit card, and a 7-day money-back guarantee on every paid plan — full refund, no questions, email support@tradejournalpro.net.

Four honest reasons to wait

1. Right now we only accept USDT (TRC20). We're between card processors, so crypto is the only payment method at the moment. Crypto payments are irreversible, which means the 7-day money-back guarantee cannot practically cover them the way a card chargeback would. If paying in crypto makes you uncomfortable, wait until cards are back — that's the right call, not a missed opportunity.

2. We're new. The product launched recently. Our Google footprint is thin, third-party reviews are few, and you will not find ten years of forum history about us. Some people are fine being early; many shouldn't be.

3. A copier cannot fix bad signals. This is the most important sentence on this page. If you copy a channel that loses money, we will execute those losing trades faster, more reliably, and with better risk management than you would manually — and you will still lose money. Our channel grading and backtester exist to help you find out before you fund an account, but no software makes an unprofitable strategy profitable.

4. Trading is risky and we are not advisers. We don't sell signals, we don't tell you what to trade, and we're not a broker or a regulated investment firm. You keep your own broker account; we execute the rules you configure on it. Most retail traders lose money. That doesn't change because the execution got better.

What we can and cannot touch

Reasonable question, since you're connecting a trading account.

  • Your broker account stays yours. You keep the login. We place trades according to the rules you set, and you can revoke access at any time by removing the EA, closing the desktop app, or disconnecting the cloud account.
  • Telegram connects through your own account so private channels can be read. We read messages from the channels you select. We don't send messages as you, and we don't touch your contacts or personal chats.
  • We cannot withdraw funds. No copier can. Broker APIs and EAs place and manage orders; they have no withdrawal permission. If any trading tool ever asks for withdrawal rights, that is your signal to walk away immediately.
  • Deleting your data is self-service at /data-deletion — not a support ticket we can quietly ignore.

How to check us out properly (30 minutes, zero risk)

  1. Sign up for the free journal. No card. Log a few past trades and see whether the analytics tell you anything useful.
  2. Open /verify and look up a channel you already follow. Compare its real numbers to its screenshots. This is often uncomfortable reading.
  3. Run the copier in paper mode during the trial. Signals execute against simulated fills, so you see exactly what would have happened on your account without a cent at risk.
  4. Then, and only then, connect a real account — and start with the smallest position size you can.

Anyone who pressures you to skip step 3 is selling something. That includes us.

The bottom line

We're a small, new, verifiable product with public pricing, a real refund policy, and a free tier that doesn't expire. We're also crypto-only for payments this month, young enough to lack a long track record, and completely unable to make a bad signal channel profitable.

If that's an acceptable trade, the trial costs you nothing and needs no card. If it isn't, bookmark the verification tool anyway and use it on whichever channel you're following — it's free, and it works whether or not you ever pay us.
