Copying signals on a funded account is a different game. One careless trade and the account โ and the fee you paid for it โ is gone. Two features make signal copying prop-firm safe: stealth delays and hidden/virtual SL & TP. Here's what they do and why they matter.
The problem with "obvious" copying
Many prop firms watch for behavior that looks like a copy trade or a martingale: identical fills across accounts, instant reactions to the same signal, or stops sitting at suspiciously round, identical levels. Even if it's allowed, you don't want your account flagged for review.
Stealth delays
Stealth mode adds a small randomized delay before each order so fills don't all land at the same millisecond. It breaks the mechanical pattern that screams "copied" without meaningfully changing your entry.
Hidden / virtual SL & TP
Instead of placing your stop-loss and take-profit on the broker (where they're visible), the copier can keep them server-side. It watches price and closes the position when the level is hit.
Why that helps:
- Your exact stops aren't sitting on the broker's book.
- It acts as a safety net even if a signal arrives without a stop โ you still have protection.
- You avoid clusters of identical visible stops across mirrored accounts.
Drawdown and daily-loss guards
The real account-killers are drawdown breaches. Set your firm's limits once and the copier enforces them:
- Daily-loss breaker โ stops trading for the day at your limit
- Max-drawdown guard โ halts before you breach the overall limit
- Consecutive-loss breaker โ pauses after a losing streak
- Pre-trade violation predictor โ warns before a trade that would break a rule
FIFO compliance
Many US-facing firms require FIFO order handling. The copier closes positions in the correct order automatically.
Put it together
Prop-firm mode bundles all of this: stealth delays, hidden SL/TP, FIFO, and the drawdown guards โ plus one-click preset packs for FTMO / MyForexFunds-style rules. Set it once; the copier refuses any trade that would break your firm's rules.
